I am on a mission to address perinatal inequities and maternal care gaps in the U.S. health system. After learning first-hand how little we support and inform new parents during postpartum, I left my decade-plus career in media to dedicate myself to birth work and system change. Today, I am a certified postpartum doula and the former founder of remote doula care company Major Care (acquired by Pacify Health in May 2024). I hold a MA from Columbia Journalism School and have written as a perinatal expert for HuffPost, Healthline.com and other publications.
