Getting engagement is one of the toughest things.
When you are building your personal brand,


You need people who stop for your post.
Give that a like and leave a comment.


But the real thing is why they do that.
Each day, thousands of other people are posting too.
Why do they stop for you?
(especially when you are a newbie)


You need to give them a reason.
You need the right strategy.


Mere commenting on big account posts doesn’t help you in this case.


Try to comment on people's posts.
→ With whom you connected yesterday.
→ Who can remember your comment.
→ Who hardly gets a few comments.
→ Who supports you.


Don’t just connect with these people, 
Build real relationships with these people.
Like whenever they see you 
They can feel that. 
because they
don’t have 
many


And you can do it by:
→ Appearing daily on their posts
→ Appearing in their DMs
→ Supporting them


And, what you give, comes back to you

I’m about to hit 1k Followers

But does it matter?


On 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, I decided to start building my personal brand on LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube & Instagram


𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗮𝗻, I saw I was getting more quality reach on Linkedin other than these platforms


𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 is diverted to many platforms, I was not able to write or create quality posts for any platform, I was running between the platforms and doing a lot of things


𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗯 𝟱𝘁𝗵, I shared my first personal story here on LinkedIn, which got more than 5 likes which was a huge number for me at that time 


𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁, I used to post content with the help of chatGPT as I didn’t know how to write such lengthy posts as people write here on LinkedIn 😅


𝗔𝗹𝘀𝗼, 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, I didn’t know a single thing about “how to build a personal brand on Linkedin”

I was like post as much as you can and as everyone says here engage so I used to blindly engage and log out.

To be honest, I hate LinkedIn during those days because I have to force myself to be on LinkedIn, and don’t like it.


𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻:
I thought just make LinkedIn your one thing, excel in it, and leave everything aside


𝗦𝗼 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲

→ How to write a post
→ How to optimize profile 
→ How LinkedIn actually work
→ How to engage with people
→ how to build a valuable connection 
→ and much more which I still learning


Many ups and downs came, but I took inspiration from people here and kept going


𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳

⇒ Sometimes it makes me frustrated
⇒ Sometimes it gives me answers for improvement

It all relies on the questions you ask and finding answers to them

How I hit $0 to $10k as an entrepreneur?

I have also seen it. That’s why I thought, Why not share mine with you?

The reality is:
→ Things vary from person to person.
→ Depending on many circumstances

Like for me
My First Month:
→ I didn’t have any service.
→ I was just posting about digital marketing.
→ Like then, I don’t even know how to write.

My Second Month
→ I had the service
→ But after spending the whole month
→ I realize my ICP is not active on LinkedIn.

My Third Month
→ Do transition to another service.
→ Optimize my profile again.
→ Still don’t get any paid clients.

My fourth month
→ I’m working again on my profile.
→ And my offer 

And to be honest, I don’t even remember how many times I have changed my headline, banner, offer, etc.

And I’ve been working super hard than ever I did in my life for the past 3 and a half months without getting paid anything.

Yeah, it’s been 3 and a half months since I have been here on LinkedIn.
But the amount of money I have made from here is zero.
Yes, Zero

Oh, I know you are waiting for a win-win story.
Nah, it’s not. while everyone shares a winning story.
But the reality is that not everyone is crushing in a week or a month.
And there are hardly a few people, I can guarantee you, who see the quick results.

And we just see those people's stories.
Like seeing only one side
And then feel bad.
And frustrated
Discouraged

But I want to say
You are not alone.
I’m also here with you.✌

That’s why
Keep Going
Keep building brand.
Keep figuring things out.
