Started off as a product lead and promoted within 7 months to Head of Product. Led a team of 8+ product managers and designers across Singapore and London to drive product and design strategy forward for Splyt crafting long term roadmaps and guiding product development across all verticals. The company exited through an acquisition by Korean superapp giant - Kakao Inc.

Notable launches:
1. Enabled more than 12000 taxis on Uber Italy through middleware integrations with itTaxi, Italy’s largest taxi operating company via Splyt's ride-hailing API

2. Launched public transport as a vertical on Grab enabling users in Singapore and Malaysia to book buses and ferries with ease on the Grab super app.

3. Launched ridehailing and Experiences as verticals in a first-to-market crypto partnership with Binance to facilitate these on-demand services paid entirely through cryptocurrencies. 

4. Piloted airport transfers with Mozio allowing Grab users to book airport transfers as they travel out of Southeast Asia

- Launched Cancellation fee and no show fee for passengers, wherein the passengers have to pay a fee when they cancel post 5 minutes of getting a driver or if they don't show up for the ride and the driver has waited sufficiently for them. 

- Launched Driver compensations for late cancellations, one of our top driver pain points and part of the Better 365 initiative, where we compensate the driver if the passenger cancels late or doesn't show up at the pick up location.

- Scaled a new vertical on GrabBike in Vietnam to easily allow users to hail bikes on the street through pairing on the Grab app with the driver and complete the journey with easy cashless payments.

Connect your apps. Automate your work. Workato is a cloud integrations platform that allows you to connect your cloud apps in a DIY manner using a clean and simple, yet powerful platform for business professionals, consultants and consumers. No IT required.

As a software engineer, I worked extensively with various cloud API's both in the business space like Salesforce, Zendesk, Quickbooks, Xero as well as the consumer space like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn. I built integration capabilities for Workato using these API's on Ruby on Rails. I also worked a lot with unit and integrated test technologies like rSpec, Capybara, Cucumber, Selenium to automate testing for complex integrations amongst cloud apps.

Product management and leadership in marketplace scaleups - Booking.com, Grab, Foodpanda and Grab across SE Asia and Europe.

Launched SE Asia’s first instant grocery delivery service (Pandamart) across 8 countries, worked on driver-passenger network optimisation problems at Grab and scaled Booking’s Home vertical offering villas and apartments globally. In addition, have led a product and data team across Singapore and London at Splyt (SoftBank-backed ride-hailing API/SDK startup).

When I’m not working on the next exciting product launch, I enjoy playing the guitar in my free time (80's rock), reading thriller novels and chip in some time for golf (pun very much intended!)
