For 2 years, I worked in the SOC team, managing the SIEM Splunk (a really big one) and the vulnerability management tool Tenable Security Center (Nessus). I was also part of the cloud security team, performing various roles, including building hardened OS images and developing web applications for Azure with .Net core at Telefónica Global Technology.

I used this time to learning new things (Swift programming for iOS, and more programming stuff) and for trying to find a new course, but the universe didn't want it, so I returned to my former life as a cyber security expert.

Sidertia Solutions

I designed a global cybersecurity solution for a long term company project.
The first phase started with a product (code-named Raccoon) for normalization and automatization of cybersecurity intrusion tests and audits, targeting to our current and future customers, but it was "acquired" very soon by the Spanish Cert (CCN-Cert) and renamed as ANA. The remaining phases will never see the light. 
My responsibility was to design the solution from the very beginning, all the functional and technical aspects.
I completely designed the initial version of the solution and also I designed the system architecture, using docker containers and micro services, mostly over an open source technology stack (Linux, Docker, No-SQL DDBB, using distributed MongoDB architecture and .net core with c# for the full stack code, web servers, etc).
I started coding the PoC to sell the project internally, working fully alone around 2 months. When the project was internally approved, I worked with 2 developers (1 full time, 1 partial) on the first functional prototype that leaded to the acquisition of the solution by the CCN-Cert, only 2 month after the PoC.
I also implemented (partially) agile methodology and helped the lead developer (only when necessary) with team coordination and project development. I deployed new (and modern) code repositories internal infrastructure (git based), Linux virtual servers for supporting the development, testing systems, DDBB, backups, configurations, docker based infrastructure, configured systems for customers evaluation and a lot of other technical activities (I looked like a one man band)
We reached beta phase only 9 months after my first day of job, with a small team of 6 very motivated developers when I left the company.
The project was publicly presented at Madrid CCN-Cert event (XII JORNADAS STIC CCN-CERT), only 1 year after the PoC and it was a big success.

SIEM administrator and developer, leading the evolution of the platform, using a Splunk-based distributed architecture, managing systems, and developing data analysis applications for a better understanding of millions of daily events.

Complete end-point security redefinition, including anti-malware defenses, new security update policies, and system configurations. I helped with strategy and operational procedures, as well as teaching technical skills for the future maintenance of over 5000 PCs spread across multiple countries. Also, I defined the initial strategy for thousands of servers (Linux and Windows).

Evaluation of the security maturity level of the company and proposing improvement actions, developing KPIs, and new strategic plan (technical side) for long-term security improvement.

Incident management, principally supporting anti fraud department investigations. Wannacry incident management, with a great result of 0 affectation, improvising actions during the first 24 hours and the next 7 days.

Also, I developed 3 video games prototypes (using Objective-C, Swift and C++), unfortunately, none have been shipped.

As a specialist in information security, my main responsibilities were to protect information assets from internal and external threats, using a little bit of technology and a lot of imagination and hard work, from the very beginning to a reasonable maturity level in information security.

During this time, I applied some of my dev knowledge and successfully adapted the Scrum methodology to my day-to-day job in IT security, when almost nobody in the company knew about agile. It was a very exciting time.
