You might be wondering what my current profession has to do with my prior.

Being a Special Education Teacher was a magnificent experience for my now entrepreneurial journey.

Being a teacher taught me the skills of:

Listening 
Patience
Advocacy 
Consent 
Delegation
Organization
Timeliness

(and more). 

But most importantly, it taught me about leadership. It taught me the skills I would not carry amongst others in a workplace environment and those that I would. It taught me that valuing those we seek to surround ourselves with in our place of work is not a want, but a need. To be direct in our pursuits, and wildly respecting one another. To allow for trust, honesty, and feedback to bloom. 

To create and be part of environments where people join time, and time again.

What a monumental journey it was to have the experience of being an educator year that I did.
