Sharing some WIP from my Design Before Motion collab animation.

This time the focus is on Pirelli. We're animating artworks from their incredible ad archive - link to the Pirelli foundation down below.

I landed with an ad created by Paul Engelmann from 1952.

Tyre tracks, grit, texture (yum) and a tagline translating to: Stelvio, the tire that bites the road.

Feels like a basic design but with tons of potential to bring dynamism and wallop with motion.

I'm usually supplied with artwork and storyboards when I get to bring ad creative to life for the socials and digital out of home.

The collab gives me the opportunity to sketch out a few ideas myself and sort a rough cut to see if I'm heading in the right direction.
