The General Office for Innovation Management is an apical organizational directly dependent on the Air Force Chief of Staff.
Its mission is to innovate and optimize organizational processes in order to effectively achieve business goals, by implementing ISO 9001 based Quality Management Systems, Projects, Programmes and Portfolio Management techniques based on international standards as PRINCE2, MSP and MoP, and other organization relevant best practices and tools (e.g. HRM, Knowledge Management, etc.), to any level of the Air Force.

Its mission is to innovate and optimize organizational business processes to achieve any goal with success by developing and spreading culture and implementing effective ISO based Quality Management Systems, Prince2 Projects and Programmes Management techniques, and other organization relevant best practices and tools (e.g. HRM, Knowledge Management, etc.), over any part of the Air Force.

As Chief Operating Officer, I've been responsible (in staff to the Commander of the AFB to ICT operations) to maintain and develop local and global ICT assets (Systems, Services and Infrastructures) as well as ICT security matters. To coordinate projects and assigned resources (5 technical departments dealing respectively with: Worldwide and Local Networks; Software Development, Acquisition and Test; Engineering and Control: Service Management; Cyber-Ops), organize and provide courses to the Air Force NCO (non commissioned officers) that need to be qualified as ICT specialists and to any system/service user when needed. In addition, I've been responsible of the Quality Assurance of the ICT Centre (steering and revising processes and procedures in accordance with the Air Force policies and the organizational changes).
