A veteran developer and architect especially in the field of anti-virus, system level and email security - includes image recognition, system detection & data synthesis. Wrote one of the world’s first (i) real-time macro virus detection - sold as MacroPro in the late 90s, (ii) the first industry script for cleaning engines for viruses, (iii) a personal firewall engine for Norman AntiVirus, (iv) a VPN Ipsec engine and (v) an app on Windows in mid 2000. All these are commercialized projects. Since joining Shoppr in 2014, I have been heavily involved in the development of the backend using Django, AWS and MongoDB. I believe in Edwards Deming principle of relying on product testing stats rather than micro supervisions. As a co-founder I am involved in all aspects of the e-com fashion aggregration platform, consumers behavior analytics and targeting content. This includes the entire life cycle of user acquisitions, SEO strategies and referral tracking systems. Shoppr have since pivoted to Omnilytics, a fashion market intelligence platform. Utilising my previous experiences, we were able to build an image recognition system, enterprise-level data mining tool & make sense of our data in under 2 years. Through my professional experience, I have a high interest in imagery and photography, often getting into discussions on sensors. I collaborated with various influencers in building their social media content. I also used to moderate one of the largest camera forums for Ricoh & Leica , DPReview (>25M traffic/month) until 2016. Founded the Python user group Malaysia, the largest user group for Python developers in Malaysia.
