Thanks for visiting my profile! Co-founder and current CEO of Susgrainable. Susgrainable rescues spent grains (brewers byproduct) from craft brewers to create nutritious, delicious, and easy-to-make flours and baking mixes. Our mission is to tackle the $49B food waste opportunity (I'm a firm believer this number is grossly underestimated as well) as it intersects with the $80B functional flour market. Susgrainable is "beers healthier half" as our flour/baking mixes contain all the protein, fibre and minerals from the barley while the starch/sugars went into the beer. Interesting Facts: Susgrainable was initially born out of a class project from my UBC Sauder MBA experience. Prior to running Susgrainable, I worked over 16 different roles in management, customer service and operations for a major Canadian airline (WestJet) and Alberta Health Services (government healthcare). You'll often hear me say three things: "Health Before Wealth" "I Hate Waste" "Accidentally on Purpose" These three statements guide most of my decision making!
