In building a career around Fisheries and Natural Resource Management, I have always found myself drawn to the animals and pushing the people away as it was easier to deal with it but knowing full well later on in my career that its always about the people, who manage ,who make the decision, who tend the land and sacrifice time out in the sea that matter the most. Networking and linking to people has always been my strongest suit. Meeting people, making new connections, seeing how I can make a difference in peoples lives and owning this skill that God gave me to make a difference is what inspires me. My children are my biggest achievements and I thank God always. I can never separate my Mother Role and Leadership role that I play. It runs deep through the links i make internally with my teams to externally dealing with range of stakeholders! I am still learning and continue to remain open minded about learning and learning and learning. From the humble beginnings i started with, i find myself still growing and learning. 2003-2005: Project Manager Coastal Fisheries Projects [BDM/Trochus]. 2005-2006: Research Assistant with International Waters Project (Department of Environment) on Rural Waste Policy. 2006-2009: Secretary for Fiji Locally Managed Marine Area Network. 2009 - 2010: Study Leave 2010 - 2013: Fisheries Technical Officer. 2013 - 2016 Oct Fisheries Officer also acting as Senior Research Officer for Aquaculture (3 months) and Senior Research Officer. November 2016 - June 2021: Coordinator for the FLMMA Network. August 2021 - August 2023: Fiji Coral Reef Rescue Initiative Manager WWF Pacific
