I ensure the standard of code on the website does not decline, while influencing and negotiating future enhancements within the two teams.

Senior Drupal Developer (Tech Lead)

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team following the Digital Service Standard (DSS), my role is to lead and influence the website development during phase 2 of the Website Consolidation Project (WCP).

I ensure the standard of code on the website does not decline, while influencing and negotiating future enhancements within the WCP team, others across the department, and external providers to enhance the website.

Duties and achievements:
*Attend and contribute to daily scrums and other regular ceremonies, working in two week sprints.
*Attend and present at showcases.
*Contribute my opinions to the branch leadership group as part of the United Leadership Team.
*Work with developers and utilise the expertise of our departmental sharepoint administrators to find the best solution to the industry.gov.au website requirements within restrictions of a SaaS product.
*Procure the Funnelback search system and ensure our website data is structured correctly to give users the best possible search results.
*Negotiated and procured the services of a Drupal service provider to overcome sudden and irreversible issues with our aegir platform.
*Strongly influence the development workflow with facts and evidence when issues were found.
*Strongly influence interim and long term arrangements when services are not available, ensuring our end user experience is impacted minimally.
*Coordinate DNS changes for websites that were consolidated into industry.gov.au

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team following the Digital Service Standard (DSS), my role was to build a robust website in iterations within a fixed time frame. 

The industry.gov.au website was re-launched by consolidating 14 existing websites across multiple platforms into one Drupal website using the GovCMS Software of a Service (SaaS) offering. 

Duties and achievements:
*Attend and contribute to daily scrums, and other regular ceremonies, working in two week sprints.
*Work with the tech lead and other developers to find the best solution to a website requirement within restrictions of using a SaaS product.
*Initiated the website publishers standard operating procedure (SOP), and continue to upgrade and improve with other developers
*Updated the SOP for the ministers website, and continue my ongoing admin support for the Ministers website.
*Successfully conduct  training for content publishers across different departmental divisions with users of all skill levels.
*Attend user testing, recording my observations.
*Coordinate DNS changes for websites that were consolidated into industry.gov.au
*Influenced the Drupal 7 distribution of GovCMS by building a strong case for the “taxonomy manager” module to be included.
*Single handedly migrated the departments Ministers website from our aegir platform to the GovCMS SaaS platform.  
*Use a local LAMP stack and the Acquia Sandbox to test and deploy changes to the website.

Senior Drupal Developer

Primarily a Drupal web developer, contributing the build and maintenance of 20+ sites, using Aegir for site management.

Duties:
*Test and install sites and modules.
*Create, maintain and update themes using SASS (gulp/npm).
*Development of custom modules as required.
