Contract nursing in Immigration Detention Centres involving primary health care, health promotion, administrative medical file processing and boat induction processing. IHMS is a subsidiary of International SOS. Nurses worked alongside Australian Customs, Federal Police and Serco security in processing boat arrivals to Christmas Island, the prime destination for asylum seekers on multiple illegal boat arrivals from Indonesia & Sri Lanka.
