One thing all my grade school teachers have in common is that they told my Mom I talked too much. Little did they know, that critique would set me on a path to find a career that would allow me to talk to people all day long. Hey there, my name is Maria and I’m a people person in every sense of the word. Ever since I can remember, one of my favorite things-other than food- is talking to those around me. I love to learn their story, learn what makes them tick, and learn what makes them happy. I take this same personal passion and bring it right into my professional work. Over the years I’ve held many jobs but my favorites have been the ones where I can interact with guests and clients. I deeply enjoy delivering on their expectations and making their experiences with me and my work the best interaction out there. Some of my biggest career accomplishments so far are- -being the first full-time traveling event manager for a non-profit (Fun Fact- I’ve been to 32 states,Puerto Rico, and Hong Kong.) -Recruiting, coordinating, and managing over 300 volunteers over the course of one summer for a volunteer series in 3 different states - Managing and mentoring a team of eight traveling event managers -Being on the opening team at a state of the art training facility for one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms In the next phase of my career I’m looking forward to working with a company or organization that values their employees professional growth, personal life, and most importantly the community they operate in.
