I am a transformational leader focussing on strategic planning, change management and innovation, who has the same passion and energy for learning, work and life that I had as a graduate. My biggest learning in life is ‘to err is to be human’ and that setbacks should be used as learning opportunities to grow. Empathy is more important than judgement. I have worked and led in schools, authored education books, led professional associations, consulted freely to the public and private education sectors, served on education boards, worked in international education and consulted for an IT Start-Up. It has been my privilege to educate thousands of students, to watch them ‘grow from within’ and to hear about their successes in person or via LinkedIn. I am currently freelancing as a consultant. I am also studying to be a Certified Mindfulness Practitioner (Levels 1, 11, 111 and Masters) and am on my own journey of self discovery, whilst also helping others to be their ‘best selves’ through mindfulness and meditation. I am interested in new opportunities and using my transferable skills to work in new roles and in different sectors.
