I was called to walk a Camino in 2019 just 6 months before the Pandemic hit and I’m so glad I went because it changed the trajectory of my life in astounding ways! So, there I was in the middle of Spain, just me, myself and my backpack, walking 20K for 10 days straight, in sunshine and in rain, up and down mountains, for 263 klicks, in a country where I hardly spoke the language, on an adventure of a lifetime! I never felt so afraid and so alive in my whole life! This was a game changer for me! When I came back home, I was inspired to write a book. At first, I thought it would be about my Camino, but it turned out to be about my training for my Camino. I’m happy to say, I’ve finished writing my novel and I’ve self-published Closer to Indigo as an ebook and paperback in 2022! Meanwhile, I serendipitously came across a content-creating and storytelling grant and took a chance and applied. Happily, they're green-lighting my project and now I am the host of the TV series, Saanich: Emerging Land; Emerging People! When you watch my story, you’ll see examples of geological marvels, historic architecture and lots of wildlife and will get a sense of who I am and where I live. You’ll also hear me read from my novel, Closer to Indigo, which inspired these locations. Who knew that a Camino would turn into a book which would turn into a TV series? I feel like spiritual retreats will be a major theme in the next volume of my life’s story. All the things I’ve been doing like: running my mobile spa, coaching my clients, walking my Camino, writing my novel and hosting/producing my TV series are all leading me to this next level of my career. My vision is to include my novel and TV series in my coaching programs as support and I’ll also be guiding my clients on nature hikes through the wilderness. Of course, crystals will be in the mix and dance parties, too, and I may even throw in a chair massage for relaxation.
