I have an eclectic background that, in the end, boils down to service. I started off in retail in 1987-1999, serving off and on as a customer service associate for Long's Drugs, Sears, Stewart's Shops, and Gottschalks. When I wasn't working I volunteered for different organizations, The Enlisted Spouses Club (Ft. Drum, NY), Army Community Services, Red Cross, and Army Family Team Building. From 1999-2010, married with three children, I focused on children and education, volunteering with both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in many capacities, coaching, PTA officer, working as a Recreational Leader for FRESNO PARCS, a Reading Tutor, and a Para-educator, while attending school off and on. In 2010, having finally completed my BA degree, I became a substitute teacher and also renewed my love for the visual and performing arts. I drew upon the knowledge from my colleagues, as well as through relationships in the community, and passed it on to the students I was charged with. Now, my husband, Michael, and I are running our own business focusing on Industrial Hygiene, Occupation Safety and Health as well as Environmental Health.
