I was elected twice as a County Councillor for the Labour Party in the Tallaght South ward of SDCC.  I was elected Mayor in 2008 and again in 2011.

I was elected unopposed as Mayor of SDCC in 2011 to replace a former colleague who had been elected during the General election in 2011.
