I’m a firm believer that Equality, Diversity and Inclusion should be actively evident in every organisation. So joining SEE Change Happen was a positive turning point in my career. SEE Change Happen is a DEI consulting firm launched in 2017 by its Founder and CEO, Joanne Lockwood. Joanne and team are committed to helping organisations support employees, customers and stakeholders equally and with dignity, whoever they are and whatever their ethnicity, abilities or gender. We specialise in providing advice to business owners and leaders as well as their employees through training courses, workshops, seminars, events and keynote speaking and other services. My role is to support Jo and the team in the business. I’m work happily in the background talking to customers about their DEI needs, attending events in a supporting role. Recently I joined Joanne on Brit Insurance 'gender reassignment webinar' where we were happy to discuss the-two sides of a persons transition; how it effects family, friends and work environments. This 'One Transtion, Two Perspectives', was very sussucessful also for Many Pets; where we talked about Trans awareness, allyship and microaggressions. Being a quietly confident Customer Operations Specialist - DEI - with a strong analytical background, I have an enhanced attention to detail. Here at SEE Change Happen I help resolve intial enquires, look at finer details, action new supplier enquires to invoice sending; making it easy to contact us to resolution and a positive outcome for your organisation and colleagues. My role includes: • Providing customer support throughout the DEI journey, from initial inquiry through to training feedback and continuity of support • New business development • Assists in the creation of training programme materials • Finance management • Currently working on CPD LGBTQIA Plus and Unconscious Bias points Enjoying a challenge, I perform well under pressure and love working with our wide range of business customers. Finally, I advocate for how becoming transgender can affect families and friends. Between 2016-19, I contributed to the RDF documentary for Channel 4: ‘Making of Me’. My goal is to write a book to help families navigate the journey with their eyes wide open, understanding the challenges, helping them to face it all with positivity for the future happiness of all, working at present with MBA Literacy Agency in London to begin working with a publisher in the near future.
