Last night was one of those evenings that fill you with gratitude and perspective.

I had the joy of attending the Centrale Lyon Foundation Dinner: a very special gathering of 30+ people, bringing together the school’s closest supporters around our Director Pascal RAY, a brilliant Professor Ségolène Callard, and a generous donor Vincent Nguyen, whose generosity and vision for AI at the school are truly inspiring.

Two of my dearest mentors were there : Marc Onetto  and Jean-Hugues Monier who have believed in me for more than 25 years. Sharing this evening with them felt like coming full circle.

As I looked around the room, I felt deeply how much we owe to those who taught us, opened doors for us, and encouraged us to dream big and how important it is to give back in return.

🎉 5th Ignite London: A Night of Insight, Laughter, and Impact

Last night marked the 5th Ignite London event since I took on the role of UK Ambassador for Centrale Lyon... and what a night it was!

We filled the Institut Français with vibrant energy, thought-provoking dialogue, and the unmistakable Centralien spirit.

🔋 Keynote with distinguished Professor Ian O'Connor from Centrale Lyon reminded us that while AI is advancing at breakneck speed, it's also consuming massive amounts of power. Datacenters now use 4.4% of US electricity, and their energy mix is 48% more carbon-intensive than the average. The takeaway? AI must become radically more energy-efficient, and that begins with rethinking hardware, data movement, and system design.

🌱 Our panel on “Decarbonize Without Blackout” tackled the real challenge: how to grow clean AI without crashing the grid. From automation to flexible demand, battery storage, and clear regulation, we heard bold, practical ideas from:

Last night in NYC, we gathered an extraordinary circle of leaders for a Friends of Proteus International dinner at Gramercy Tavern. 

What a buzzing evening! Exceptional company, food, wine and conversation. 

A huge thank you to our gracious host and long term Proteus Friend, Danny Meyer. I enjoyed listening to the origin story of how he and Erika Andersen, founder of Proteus met and built a partnership over the years. It was a masterclass in values, hospitality, and enduring collaboration.

I was proud to be there with my Proteus colleagues Laird McLean, Jeff Mitchell, Harry Mitchell and Caitlyn Judge, and grateful for the candid, generous conversations around the table.

We’ll keep this circle connected and we’re already planning the next Friends of Proteus gathering in June 2026. If you’re a C-Suite executive or board member interested in joining future conversations on True Transformations, please DM me, Laird or Jeff.

Hier soir, nous avons célébré la 5e édition d’Ignite London depuis que j’ai l’honneur d’être ambassadrice UK pour Centrale Lyon… et quelle soirée !

L’Institut Français s’est rempli d’une énergie vibrante, de dialogues stimulants et de l’esprit Centralien dans toute sa splendeur.

🔋 Lors de sa keynote, le professeur émérite Ian O'Connor (Centrale Lyon) nous a rappelé une réalité urgente : si l’IA progresse à toute vitesse, elle est aussi extrêmement énergivore. Aux États-Unis, les datacenters consomment désormais 4,4 % de l’électricité totale, avec une empreinte carbone 48 % plus élevée que la moyenne. La conclusion ? Il est impératif de repenser les architectures matérielles, les transferts de données et les systèmes pour rendre l’IA beaucoup plus sobre en énergie.

🌱 Notre table ronde “Décarboner sans black-out” a posé la vraie question : comment faire croître une IA propre sans faire disjoncter le réseau ? De l’automatisation à la flexibilité de la demande, du stockage aux politiques publiques claires, nous avons entendu des idées audacieuses et concrètes de :

Deux de mes mentors les plus chers étaient présents : Marc Onetto et Jean-Hugues Monier, qui me font confiance et m’accompagnent depuis plus de 25 ans. Partager cette soirée avec eux avait un goût d’accomplissement.

En regardant la salle, j’ai ressenti profondément combien nous devons à celles et ceux qui nous ont formés, qui nous ont ouvert des portes et encouragés à rêver grand et combien il est essentiel, à notre tour, de redonner.
