Mario is a Legal Director in Pinsent Masons' Tier 1 Life Sciences Team and advises life science clients on all aspects of the development and exploitation of pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech and digital health technologies. Mario specialises in negotiating strategic acquisitions, licensing, collaboration and other technology transfer arrangements, often with complex underlying technologies and international scope. 

He is recognised as a key lawyer (Legal 500) in Life Sciences in recognition of his role in advising the UK Government (Vaccine Taskforce and Antiviral & Therapeutics Taskforce) on the supply of Covid-19 vaccines and antiviral therapies and also in relation the world’s first COVID-19 human challenge study. 

Having qualifications and experience as a research scientist in the fields of immunology and molecular biology, and as in-house counsel at a number of prominent life science companies, Mario has both the technical expertise and commercial awareness to provide insightful and pragmatic advice.
