Last month, particularly during Black Friday, there was a noticeable increase in bot traffic from China affecting multiple e-commerce stores. 🤖 

👉 It is essential to monitor the source of your traffic. 
👉 Consider utilizing an IP blocker app to restrict traffic from specific countries.

Stop guessing and start watching the right numbers.
These are the 5 metrics I look at constantly 👇

1️⃣ CPA (Cost per acquisition)
How much can you afford to pay for a customer?
Set this first. Everything else follows.
Your target CPA depends on:
- Your product price
- Your LTV
- Your goal: growth vs profit
Tip: always check historical data and benchmarks before panicking.
If CPA is too high, don’t touch budgets yet. Fix the next metrics first.

2️⃣ Hook rate (3s views)
This tells you if your ad stops the scroll.
Rough benchmarks:
- 25% = okay
- 30% = solid
- 35% = very good
- 40%+ = you’re onto something
Low hook rate = weak opening. Period.

3️⃣ Hold rate (15s views)
This shows if people actually care after the hook.
- 15% = acceptable
- 20% = good
- 25% = great
- 30%+ = rare
If this is low, your story or structure is off.

4️⃣ CTR
Does the ad make people want more?
- ~1% = fine
- 1.5% = good
- 2.5%+ = strong
Sometimes CTR is low but CPA is still great. That’s usually targeting or audience intent.
Watch it, don’t obsess over it.

5️⃣ CVR (conversion rate)
Now we’re on the site.
Is your landing page doing its job?
3–5% can already be excellent, depending on price.
If CVR is bad, ads aren’t the problem. The page is.

These 5 numbers give you:
- A clear view of what’s broken
- A logical order of what to fix next

What metric do you rely on that I didn’t mention?

Everyone is looking for a passive income.

But the ones who actually achieve it know you have to get first active, ugly, sweaty income.
