I am currently employed as a freelance Learning & Development (L&D) Consultant and searching for the next opportunity to share my knowledge and experience of the L&D space with a great organization. Prior to starting my freelance business - M Newell Consulting, I've held various training roles across multiple industries such as Director of Training and Performance Consultant as well as Sales, Customer Service, and Leadership Trainer. During my tenure as an Training Director , I was responsible for the creation of all training materials as they applied to the company's products and services. My responsibilities also included delivering those materials in a blended-learning format to ensure all adult learning styles were addressed, analyzing the impact of the programs, and, whenever necessary, updating the training content to remain relevant based on needs of the business and industry trends. Where I am passionate about face-to-face delivery, I understand the importance of other training methods as well. Because of this, I helped to introduce an online training portal that incorporates videos, self-paced modules, and gamification for greater learning retention and interactivity. My passion has always been to learn new things in all aspects of business and share that knowledge with others. I am grateful to be able to work in a career that allows me to do both and have a job that I thoroughly enjoy!
