I am a Scholarly Assistant Professor with the Carson College of Business School of Hospitality Business Management at Washington State University Everett. I teach a full range of hospitality coursework, including managed services and human resources. Nearly all my courses are designed using hybrid and online course delivery with experience in designing over 20 courses. I have taught and researched internationally in Switzerland, Malawi, Tanzania, and Saudi Arabia. In 2023, I was inducted into the WSU Teaching Academy. I have over 20 publications and conference proceedings, including publications in Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Cases, The International Journal of Higher Education and Democracy, and The International Journal of Servant-Leadership. I am a reviewer for the Hospitality and Tourism Graduate Student Education and Research Conference and is an Assistant Editor for Narrative Magazine. I have over 30 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry with 20 of those years in management positions with restaurants, hotel food and beverage operations, and managed services. I have served as Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic and Students Affairs on the WSU Everett campus and with numerous committees at the college and university level.
