Als programma manager hou ik me bezig met de coördinatie & opstart acties, organisatie events​, connecteren van stakeholders en actietrekkers​, communicatie, verbinding met andere werkagenda’s en hefboomtrekkers & het helicopterzicht te bewaren. 
De bio-economie is een essentieel onderdeel van de duurzame circulaire Vlaamse economie, en kan een substantiële bijdrage leveren om onze afhankelijkheid van import van grondstoffen te reduceren.

De bio-economie vormt ook een belangrijke schakel in de transitie om onze economie koolstofneutraal te maken. Dat kan door nieuwe waardeketens te bouwen die zorgen voor een gesloten koolstofcyclus. De bio-economie kan ons -mits de juiste stimuli- van biogebaseerde alternatieven voor 'fossiele producten' voorzien, met een minimale klimaatimpact.

I am Mark Bollen, founder of WaterMark, environmental engineer and pragmatic innovator & trainer. My mission is to accelerate the (regenerative) transition to a healthier planet & society guided by nature. How: starting up projects & building skills along the way that changemakers need to succeed!

After 15 years of engineering, consultancy & innovation in the waterworld (hence the name), I shifted my focus to innovation,  future foresight studies & facilitation of processes 5 years ago. I have worked with corporations, public partners, organisations & knowledge institutes as well as small & medium enterprises in various sectors. 

I have studied & worked on challenges related to water management, environmental impact, renewable energy, climate change adaptation, resource scarcity, new technologies, nature based solutions & circularity.
