* Strategic Consultation, including macro and micro level statistical analysis, business plan & sales strategy development for a range of Global hotel chain accounts in EMEA, Americas and APAC as well as some key domestic UK chains.
* Maintaining strong relationships with the top level representatives at these Global & Key accounts and developing new partnerships.
* Renegotiating commercial contracts with hotel chains and examining how use of opaque and promotional commercials can positively influence their global business sales through lastminute.com.
* Liaising with merchandising, marketing and media teams to increase revenues and co-ordinate media campaigns.
* Operational liaison and project lead between the overseas Operations teams and the Global partners to ensure project timelines are set, processes are adhered to, high level support is given and stakeholders held accountable.
* Attendance at International Trade Fairs, internal and external conferences, presenting at revenue workshops and regular quarterly, halfly and annual business reviews.

Global & Key Account Manager

•	Responsible for the day to day Account Management of independent and chain hotels within my dedicated region.  Have worked with hotels in all destinations throughout North East England, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire, East & West Midlands, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.  
•	Market Managed and business developed Egypt and Israel as new overseas destinations for lastminute.com EMEA and Travelocity.com. 
•	Tasked with improving and maintaining sales of all above regions.  More recently focused intensely on Greater Manchester hotels across all worldwide points of sale, targeted specifically on increasing profit margins and availability of bedstock.
•	Renegotiating commercial contracts with individual hotels and hotel chains.
•	Meeting frequent deadlines for sourcing special offers and deals for online merchandising campaigns and dedicated CRM.
•	Maintaining strong relationships with the hotels and developing new partnerships
•	Liaising with merchandising, marketing and media teams to increase revenues and seek advertising campaigns.
•	Maintaining ‘England Hotel Experts’ blog (newly launched as lastminute.com blog) , facebook page and twitter feed aswell as my own @MCRHotelExpert twitter page.
•	Conducting business reviews for key hotel partners and chains, including presentations and leading workshops

•	Responsible for leading a team to contract new business or negotiate direct contracts with the best selling hotel, apartment and transfer suppliers.  
•	Direct negotiation with existing hotels and service partners to ensure that the best possible commercial terms.  
•	Negotiation on commercial terms and presenting business cases to third party agents who would buy and sell our stock.
•	Responsible for implementing and developing new programmes in key growth areas which the company had previously purchased through third party suppliers.
•	Yield management and working in conjunction with the Head of Marketing to ensure that, through effective promotional activity, allocations are materialised to their maximum potential.
•	Attendance at Trade Fairs across Europe to raise the company profile, create new partnerships and cement existing relationships.
•	Responsible for conducting Individual Development and Performance reviews in line with achieving bonuses and pay rises.
