I never meant to be an entrepreneur but I was meant to be an entrepreneur. I should have known. The signs were all there. - Growing up I always wanted to know "why" - I love creating new solutions to problems - I constantly come up with new ideas and want to own my time But becoming an entrepreneur? It was an accident. My journey started when I founded a part-time business performing notary real estate signings while in college. When I got my first "real job" I almost quit. But then I met the right partner. And we both almost quit again. Ultimately we bootstrapped this accidental company through an acquisition by a $3.3 billion revenue Fortune 800 company (Stewart Title Company in Feb '21). Blood, sweat, tears, and luck all played their part in my story. Some of the highlights include: - Generated over $65 million in annual revenue - Implemented process and technology to manage 62k+ monthly transactions - Recognized 7 out of 8 years on the Inc 500 (#140 in 2014) - Recognized by Columbus Business First as a "40 under 40" honoree Now I am using my experience to continue on my entrepreneurial journey and help others on their own journey. I acquire and improve companies with $500k to $3 million of EBITDA through a combination of process, technology, and capital. I've helped others with everything from start-up guidance and exit strategy to student loans and credit cards. I'm not an attorney but I've navigated the M+A process. I'm not a CPA but I've dealt with nexus, unclaimed funds, taxes, and cash vs. accrual accounting. I'm not a financial analyst but I graduated Summa Cum Laude in Finance.
