Project Director, 

Hoffman Materials, LLC

	I led a small group of investors to acquire the assets of Hoffman Materials, Inc. involved in the growth, and post-growth processing of piezoelectric materials. I oversaw all aspects of the turn-around, including rebuilding of the customer base. Over the first nine years, I led the expansion from one material-based product line to five material-based product lines, as-well-as development of new process technology and acquisition of related higher technology machinery and addition of new manufacturing capabilities serving a broad array of industries and applications.

	I led the acquisition of the crystal growth laboratory from the University of Central Florida into a new legal entity, Krystal Engineering, Inc., located in Titusville, FL. I managed the establishment of the Granite Falls, NC facilities, and the transfer of Krystal Engineering operations, and hired the leadership of the team now managing the company. 

	I continue in to serve as Chairman Emeritus, but no longer have an active role on the board or in management of operations.

Finveden

In this role, I established a sales office located in Southfield MI, for Finveden, AB in North America to develop new business with Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors, to facilitate the transfer of small parts supply to local producers in Mexico and the U.S.A., and to serve Finveden's Scandinavian  customers located  in the USA and Canada, such as Husqvarna, Volvo Construction, Volvo Penta, and Volvo Truck.

This position reported to the CEO of Finveden, and with the primarily task of developing new contracts for the supply of highly alloyed structures, and components fabricated and produced in Sweden and conducting local source evaluation in Mexico and the U.S.A.

AVL North America

In this interval, I interacted with the owner and senior management at AVL in Graz, Austria. These interactions ultimately resulted in the creation of the Embedded Systems Engineering Technology and business area within AVL, which consequently led to the establishment of parallel teams in Graz, Bedford, England, and Detroit MI. In the Detroit, MI operation, I recruited and assembled an exceptional team of embedded hardware and embedded software engineers, PhD physicists, and mechanical engineers that went on to create a model based HCCI concept, and successfully reduced same into practice in functional hardware in a single-cylinder engine, thus quantitatively validating the HCCI concept for optimized combustion. During these years, our team also filed a series of patents for advanced powertrain control devices.
