It didn't start out to me as a calling. I created a bookkeeping company in the past, working with Digital Marketing Agencies. Analyzing financials and talking to clients was great, but I was burnt out by everything else. So I moved to programming in 2020. It felt good. Natural even. Soon I landed a job at a startup and later a position with a non-profit providing jobs for the blind. I liked the work and the mission, but I was missing something from my bookkeeping days 2022. I merged my enjoyment of programming with my bookkeeping experience to create MonkBe. A chrome extension that added features directly to QuickBooks Online to make bookkeepers' lives easier. I didn't realize it when I started MonkBe, but I stumbled into what I really love to do. Talking to accountants and bookkeepers online. Finding problems and figuring out how to develop a good solution! Everything clicked. Ultimately, that led to my current situation collaborating with Hector Garcia on a browser extension called "RightTool" that will revolutionize the way people work in QuickBooks Online, and eventually the accounting industry as a whole!
