The words you use are shaping lives, often without you realizing it.

One sentence can build someone up
or quietly convince them to play small.

I’ve seen a simple “I believe in you” unlock confidence, courage, and momentum.

And I’ve seen careless phrases like "you’re not ready” or "know your place” plant doubt that lasts for years.

Because words aren’t neutral. They prime the brain.
They tell people who they are allowed to be.

 Psychology shows this clearly:

- Encouragement increases action because the brain seeks consistency with positive labels.
- Recognition fuels motivation by activating reward pathways.
- Honest, respectful feedback accelerates growth. 

But the opposite is just as powerful:
