I have had a wonderfully successful career as a Senior Manager and Leader across many different sectors for over 20 years now. Good quality data is at the centre of what I do, not just how to get it but how to keep it as well. You won’t find anyone more hard-working, dedicated or loyal than me. My word is my bond – if I say I’ll do something, I’ll do it. If I say I’ll be there, I’ll be there. From The Midlands to The Philippines, from Utilities to Telecoms, from Rail to the NHS, I have always delivered and won awards along the way. I love data! I have written many articles on data lifecycle management, systems architecture, automation and dashboard creation. I have a real passion for unlocking the power that data holds, and turning that power into actionable intelligence. I’ve had a very successful sporting career, playing at County level in 3 different sports. But these days I love woodworking in my spare time. I’m inspired by the amazing things my Dad and Grandad have created, so I’m teaching myself new skills all the time and making things for my girls. Who knew that putting wood through a table saw can be so therapeutic?! Mental Health is extremely important to me. I always speak and act considerately, and I will always help those that need it. Back in 2017, I designed, set up and ran a 24hr Football Tournament which raised over £5,000 for the mental health charity MIND. You can read more about it in the article on my page, but suffice to say it was extremely difficult! I ran over 35 miles, did over 70,000 steps, negotiated with huge companies to donate prizes, and after a fire ripped through the venue I worked closely with their Managing Director to ensure the venue was ready for my event. I even went down there with a mop and bucket myself. The whole event from planning to delivery was one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. Most importantly of all, I am a Dad to two beautiful little girls who are my world. Being present is important to me, and them, so I love to take them swimming when I can, play games with them, read to them, anything like that. I want them to grow up feeling loved, supported and developed.
