I know LinkedIn isn’t usually a place for sentimentality, but today I’ve been working on something personal.

Five years ago, I lost my dad. Menorca was a special place for us as a family, with countless happy holidays, and his favourite drink was always the Pomada.

As the islands official drink it’s as simple as it gets: Menorcan gin, lemon juice, a touch of sugar, and water. No frills, no fuss. Just a perfectly refreshing drink for a hot summer’s day.

Not everything has to be bells and whistles. Sometimes the simplest serves carry the deepest meaning.
