Some journeys are pretty straightforward. Some look like the squiggly lines drawn all over walls at the house by a child (assumed, not speaking from direct experience 👀). I pivoted into talent acquisition 5 years ago after previously spending 6 years in the corporate, startup, and nonprofit spaces in customer service, project management, and early talent development. I also coached boxing and fitness on the side because of my passion for sports and athletics. What I realized over the course of that part of my journey was that I was my best self when I was helping others grow. It was through this personal evolution that I made another pivot and now currently translate my recruiting experience into my work as a career coach. (Read: my service to others now is as an advisor and coach in the career development space, bridging my experience in talent acquisition with my passion for mentorship.) The workforce has been adapting and changing in the wake of the Covid pandemic. We are in such a pivotal moment of humanity and the coming of age of a new generation, and if I can use my life and professional experience to provide support and guidance to those navigating a quickly changing job market and evolving world…then I know my internal compass is spot on. Currently serving the undergraduate, graduate, and PhD student community at the University of Washington who are preparing to traverse the job seeking chapter of their lives.
