My working career has been divided into two distinct spaces. Firstly, I worked through the ranks helping big Corporates achieve the growth agenda. This parlayed into my successful consultancy that has been burgeoning for the past 15 years. It is about not just focusing on your current job but across the 4 domains of work (ie paid, learning, leisure and role / devotion). I help individuals, teams and organisations (the fire triangle) transform work into a source of meaning, excitement, expression, purpose, potential, passion and possibility. For this workplace tripartite, it’s become increasingly clear – what got us here, isn’t going to get us there. The challenges we’re all dealing with may have reached a boiling point in recent years, but the truth is, a gnawing discontent has been festering for nearly a generation. The recent moment isn’t the root cause, but rather the final tear on a band-aid that’s been in a slow-rip mode for decades. The real, underlying issue is a gross misalignment between what we are expected to do, our innate imprint or driver of work that makes us come alive and the outcomes that amplify a better world for us all. In this post pandemic world there will be two pertinent challenges to face: 1. Understanding the imprint that makes individuals, teams and organizations come alive (Sparketype®, Vision, Values, Purpose & Engagement) 2. Delivering Outcomes underpinned by Creativity & Innovation) that build a more significant & sustainable future. It will be about making work and life better Corporates I have helped ignite the SPARK from within include Asahi, CUB, BlackRock, Mondelez, Pepsi, SAB Miller, Fonterra, Cadbury, Heinz, Coles, Schweppes, Laminex, AFL, Treasury Wine Estates, Golden Circle and Kraft. Beyond my work, I’m now a solo, full time dad to 3 amazing kids. I’m also a massive Hawks footy fan, have an Aboriginal art collection, and spend many days in semi-religious devotion listening to Bruce Springsteen.
