UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland

Led group of volunteers focused on supporting the neonatal infant care unit of Children’s Hospital.  Organized two fundraisers each year and partnered with luxury brands (Trina Turk and Vineyard Vines) and local jewelry designers.  Responsible for events from beginning to end, including the oversight of all volunteers.  Worked closely with patients and doctors to facilitate their participation in the events.

Neiman Marcus Group

Chosen to lead new initiative to grow the premium outlet stores.  Responsible for all financial planning, monitoring and forecasting for those stores.  Coordinated closely with store managers and buyers on their budgets and plans.  Reported to the Division Merchandise Manager (DMM) of Premium Outlets and met monthly with the CFO and CEO of the Neiman Marcus Group.

Financial Planning for Stores

Rsponsible for planning, analyzing and maintaining profitability for all the Neiman Marcus Retail Stores.  Determined budget allocation to each department and buyer across 22 stores.  Coordinated closely with buyers and DMMs for each category.  Reported directly to the Director of Retail Store Planning and met monthly with the Neiman Marcus Group executive team.

Store Merchandise Planner 

Buyer for all women’s sleepwear for 22 luxury retail stores.  Sourced merchandise from New York, Paris, Milan and Hong Kong markets.  In Hong Kong, collaborated with local manufacturer to design new sleepwear line.  Gross margin responsibility for women’s intimate apparel.  Responsible for buying for each retail market based on local demands.  Worked closely with department managers to understand regional needs and trends.  Planned and coordinated vendor events in stores.  Managed and mentored three assistant buyers.

Buyer, Women's Intimate Apparel 

Analyzed and forecasted the Neiman Marcus credit card debt.  Reported to the Vice President & DMM of Credit.  Met monthly with the Neiman Marcus Group executive team.

Credit Manager

Moved to Scottsdale to open new store at Fashion Square.  Responsible for merchandising entire department and communicating with the buying office.  Hired and managed eight sales associates.  Spent most of the day on the floor developing client relationships and ensuring we were delivering an optimal client experience.  Planned and coordinated vendor events in stores.  Reported to the Vice President of the store.  Received award for selling the most cashmere in the country.  Exceeded sales goals each season.

Men's Sportswear Department Manager

Successfully completed the Executive Training Program and was promoted to Assistant Buyer.  Worked closely with the Buyer and developed vendor relationships to ensure on-time delivery of goods and competitive pricing for children’s apparel.  Coordinated with operations department to expedite deliveries.  Communicated with Department Managers to determine their merchandise needs.  Responsible for inventory management, including moving apparel across store locations to optimize sales.
