I have over nineteen years of experience in international finance, accounting operations, and financial modelling, working with GE in the US, Europe, and APAC region. Over the last few years, I’ve been helping to lead GE’s operational controllership global transformation to “Finance of the Future”. Through a combination of harnessing advanced predictive analytics, developing the digital capability of my team and adopting Scrum agile working, I have been able to demonstrate Finance’s transition to becoming a true business partner, finally! My proudest achievements recently have been: • Led the redesign of the Sarbanes-Oxley process using a risk-based approach, reducing costs, eliminating reporting control weaknesses and increasing the external auditor’s reliance on management’s work. • Led the offshoring simplification project, GE’s most far-reaching transformation over the last decade. This resulted in the retiring of 11 non-standard business processes and the establishing of a controls centre of expertise, comprising of 9 senior auditors delivering 90% efficiencies. • Launched GE's first audit analytics department, pioneering integrating data scientists within a finance analyst setting, thus helping to accelerate the transformation of Finance teams to becoming digital savvy. • Focused on developing and implementing GE Aerospace's global climate reporting strategy, respective roadmap, and Greenhouse Gas (“GHG”) reporting platform, and related process and controls environment.
