• Co-led a global program to define and launch the company values and behaviors. 
• Partnered with the SVP of Information Technology to develop and execute an annual Communications plan to transform and scale the IT group to meet growing business needs.

Gagen MacDonald is a strategy execution and employee engagement consulting firm that moves corporate and operating strategies off the shelf and into the workplace, turning them into reality. Key projects included:
• Pfizer: Implementation lead for six-person agency team to support R&D Communications in a global transformation. 
• Credit Suisse: Conducted research on internal communication best practices at global companies to inform global internal communication plan. Research received the 2011 Best Practitioner Paper award by the Conference on Corporate Communication, Corporate Communication International. 
• United Airlines: Contributed to core positioning for pre-merger reputation strategy and recommendations for leveraging its corporate responsibility program to improve key reputation metrics. Developed new HR communication model for improved effectiveness and efficiency.
• Dean Foods: Partnered with the EVP, Supply Chain, to improve internal communication approach to enable large-scale change. Established core editorial infrastructure for the Corporate Communication team.
• The Coca-Cola Company: Partnered with business transformation team to roll-out significant business changes in 16 functional groups.
• GE: Developed communication strategy to engage employees in new company positioning, including global employee advisory board and online communication training module.

International Alert

International Alert is a London-based, international NGO that works in conflict resolution and peacebuilding.  As the Head of Communications I was responsible for the following:
• Designed and implemented a communications strategy to raise International Alert's public profile, increase its funding and enhance the impact of its work. Managed policy publications, media relations, company website and events. 
• Established a communications team of 4 staff members, reported to the Secretary General, and provided counsel to the senior management team.
• Led initiative to align organizational outreach strategies between Communications, Fundraising, Training and Policy/Advocacy.
• Provided communications support and training for offices in Sri Lanka, Nepal, DR Congo and Liberia.

• World Jewish Aid is a non-profit organization that mobilizes Jewish resources for non-sectarian international development with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa, Nepal, and the Balkans.
• Supported non-sectarian international development projects: assisted with proposal development and program management.
• Analyzed and consulted on agency growth strategy and merger integration, including agency development options, staffing needs, marketing, and fundraising efforts.

Graduate School Work Placement - International Development

Centro de Bienestar y Asistencia Infantales

• Centro de Bienestar y Asistencia Infantales is a non-profit, privately run organization that assists young underprivileged children (primarily in households run by women) by providing preschool education and psychological orientation.  
• Supported programs to assist underprivileged children, primarily of single mothers.  
• Developed recommendations for instituting an English-as-a-second language program for an elementary school with limited budget and resources.  
• Coordinated a formal relationship between the agency and the local university to continuously place graduate students to administer the English program.  
• Taught English to 300 Spanish-speaking students (six classrooms of 35-45 students each).  
• Conducted primary research and wrote an in-depth case study and analysis of the agency.
