I wasted 10 hours this weekend.

How? I lost track of my interactions & leads data.

(Don't make this mistake when starting your business)

Let me tell you how it all happened.

The idea was simple:
- I will put my offer out.
- IF leads or clients come - I’ll write it in Excel.

(How naive? I’d wake up in the middle of the night because I forgot to DM someone.)

- My sheet didn’t help. Quickly I went
→ from → If I have leads → to → OMG! → I have leads!
→ to → I have no idea whom I said what.

Thankfully, LinkedIn content saved me from the mess it made.
→ My cousin Brock recommended the app folk.

Maan! Why did I even bother with the Excel table?

Now I have:
- Organized connections by tags and labels.
- Saved lists of email addresses of my leads.
- Reminders for follow-ups, messages & leads.
- Lists of interaction points with my future clients.

It’s been 2 years since I started working in a bank.

(Before that I worked in a startup)

Still, regardless of the working format,
it's the people you work with that matter.

Thanks to those two ladies, on a personal level,
 I’ve learned how to:

- Understand the personal side of a story
- Support each other in development
- Network throughout the RBI group 
- Find my spot in the organization
- Support thinking out of the box
- Grasp the corporate construct

(If you learn how to use it right)

My clients are excellent communicators.
Still, posting makes them think differently.

Let me explain:

1. We work on autopilot.
→ Posting makes you explain WHY.

2. We are not straightforward.
→ Posting needs a crispy format.

3. We tend to forget about customers.
→ Posting = More customer touch points.

4. We multitask a lot.
→ Posting makes you follow:
1 post → 1 message → 1 person.

5. Self-perception vs. Reality.
→ Digital voice helps you understand your professional self. 

This is a fact for everyone - from students to seniors.

The goal isn’t just to publish content.
→ But to open up a new way of thinking, working & reflecting.

Are you reposting the same post 24 times?

(I see this more and more every day!)

The benefits of reposting are clear:

1. Followers receive repost notifications.
2. Hacks time zone problems.
3. Increases visibility.

BUT, it’s time for spring cleaning.

If you repost a lot, check your posts section 
& simply delete old reposts.  

When your perfect follower visits your profile, 
you want to show them:

✔️ Variety of content + diverse engagement.
❌ NOT just 43 times the same post 
(shared in 36 groups) 

Time for spring cleaning ?!

P.S. Are you reposting your own content?

When it comes to financial topics readers want:

- EITHER detailed & extensive  
- OR brief & short information

(I’ve been working in FinTech marketing for 3+ years)

When promoting a financial publication or product

→ Avoid:
1. Starting with “Thrilled / Humble to announce..”
2. Including event visit + publication in 1 post.
3. Going into details without formatting. 
4. Including more than 1 link.

→ Instead:
1. Give concise, valuable info.
2. Use: 1 post - 1 info - 1 audience.
3. Keep posts short. Details are for a website.
4. Use 1 link. No one clicks back & forth on 3 links.

Adapt the format for your audience & social media.

P.S. Are you reading financial updates on LinkedIn?

Readers want detailed or brief info. There is no middle.

Harsh LinkedIn truth.

The network doesn’t care about you.

(Stop romanticizing it)

You need to save EVERYTHING:
- Your posts.
- Client’s contacts.
- Touchpoints with followers.

I save LinkedIn data in folk.

The CRM app auto inserts detailed info:
- career parallels
- same location connections
- education bonding similarities

You can’t depend on the platform.
You have to think beyond.

Just because it’s hot right now.
Doesn’t mean it’s worth being addicted.

How I find perfect clients on LinkedIn?

(with 3 simple steps & one tool)

1) I created a folk account & Chrome extension:
→ You need less than 3 minutes

2) I attracted inbound leads through content:
→ Speak to your targeted audience

3) I add the interested leads to my folk dashboard:
→ run the folk extension in each lead LinkedIn Profile
→ insert extra data such as Priority / Status / DM bits

BONUS:

Since I didn't know that there was folk.
I had a bunch of data in csv.

I add those with the "Enrichment" feature.
This saved me at least 5 hours and x nerves!

So, next time when you ask your social media manager.

Bear those insane numbers in mind!

When building a brand:

-You have to stand out with high-quality content.

BUT without quantity, you can’t reach those who’ll see quality.

P.S. How often are you posting?

Are you creating content to collect likes? 

Or to get clients?

Likes dopamine hits are nice. (But mostly useless.)

99% of you don’t know this about LinkedIn…

It aims to create economic opportunity for every member.

Still, this can’t be achieved if you don’t take action.
Therefore utilize your engagement:

1. Use LinkedIn analytics +

2. Transform:
- Comments & likes to engagement lists
- Engagement lists to lead lists
- Lead lists to prospect lists

3. Understand who is active, when & why.
- To move further to the conversion & loyalty stage.

Stay on top of who is active in your community.
