I am an experienced economist with a unique work history which encompasses both the public and private sectors across Australia and New Zealand. I like to think of my career to date as having followed a random walk process! Over the course of my career, I have contributed to a diverse range of projects which have influenced significant policy and investment decisions across Australia and New Zealand. Through pursuing these endeavours, I have gained a considerable level of familiarity with various types of analytical methods including cost/benefit analysis, financial modelling, input-output based modelling, cost allocation modelling and statistical/econometric analysis. Expressed slightly differently, I have become an expert in being able to tell compelling stories to a range of audiences using data analysis and visualisation. In addition to my primary career as an economist, I am a qualified VET teacher of various business related disciplines. In this regard, I have experience in training and assessing both domestic and international students at the Certificate IV and Diploma level across a number of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
