Mathew Merryweather is a Product Manager in AngloAmerican's Information Management team within the Technical function. He leads a cross-functional team to develop data-driven cloud products that reimagine mining to improve the lives of Processing staff onsite. Chemical Engineering background with a passion for improving mining processes through innovative improvement projects. He has worked on projects in multiple commodities such as Coal, Gold, Iron Ore, Copper, Nickel, PGMs and Diamonds. Mathew is keenly interested in the application of automation, online analytics, advanced process control, machine learning and advanced instrumentation to metallurgical and production problems. He has broader industry interests in geometallurgy, continuous-mining equipment, pre-concentration, grade engineering, in-situ resource extraction and bio-metallurgical unit operations.
