Highly driven, results based leader with...Sounds familiar doesnt it? I see profile after profile/person after person, who use this description. We are in the age of information, an age of entitlement where many us try so hard to create a false perception of what they want others to see in us. I used to be one of those people. The real Matt Calhoun has done things you wont like, that I dont like, still makes mistakes, and is far from perfect. I went from a young business and sales leader with all the potential in the world, to broke, Godless, and lost at "Rock bottom." I was on the verge of losing everything I cared about and loved. God's voice after a near death experience awoke the Matt I was designed to be. I went from self serving to serving others. I now hated losing, more so than I loved winning. I let go of myself, allowed others to guide me, and 12 years later and blessed with amazing mentors and leaders. I have grown into a Sales Development/Business Development expert, Cold call extraordinaire, and "Sales Development Sommelier." Im also a marketers nightmare. My philosophy has always been, "Be different, with confidence." Ive sold seven-figure IT Hardware deals, six-figure BDR Outsourcing deals, maintained an 80% client retention average for 5+ years, retained and expanded the non retainable, and found ways to solve executive level problems that attribute to more revenue, and higher ROIs. Ive done it all, and succeeded... I spend countless hours learning how to integrate emerging technologies into our revenue systems and operations. I am highly skilled at identifying roadblocks that hinder growth, then building and executing strategic plans that improve sales development operations, production, and management. Im still far from perfect, but I can admit my mistakes. I accept criticism, and I hope my eagerness to learn and grow personally and professionally never runs out.
