Took overall responsibility for the demand and supply planning within the organisation, along with bringing in a robust SIOP process.
Quickly restructured the KPI measures being used and started to bring root cause analysis into the team thinking. Forecast analysis at group levels was introduced instead of SKU to better support demand reviews and also restructured the department to create clearer demarcation between demand and supply. 
Role was cut short due to redundancy in June 22.

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association

Led the whole organisation in a redesign and rethinking of its operating model and supply chain thinking, breaking the old mindset of "one long chain", centralised planning from start to finish, into multi stage, multi region, MPS and MRP level plans which were business unit owned, from output back to breeding.
Ensured that plans were presented at the right level for the audience keeping exec level at S&OP type structure and production units at MPS discussion with the breeding programme being the MRP recipient.
Educated all levels of the organisation from Exec through to ground level staff on new ways of working and supply chain / operations principles to enable all this change to be sustainable.
Re-engineered key job descriptions and process flows to enable a 30% increased output through constrained resources. 
Supported the COO in restructuring his organisation and acted as an advisor to create his new operating structure and better defined ops / quality and management roles.
Delivered Covey 7 Habits and problem solving training across the organisation, again from exec teams down to ground level staff and coached / mentored individuals in the organisation.

Supply Chain Manager

Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd

Managed a team of 5 planners / controllers to ensure correct mix was being built in the factory, progressing through the factory as required and ultimately shipments out of factory were on plan. 
Changed the options planning process to give a 15% better forecast accuracy and stop "stranger" options keep repeating in the forecast - better material availability, less inventory and customer requirements met faster.
Developed new measures to show the build plan stability and forecast accuracy as seen to suppliers to enable system changes to prevent material "bubbles" in schedules. 
Planned for brexit scenarios and material availability requirements in case of shipment stops from various suppliers. 
Was a defined mentor for new graduates coming into the business.

MPS Manager

Meritor

Implemented S&OP the the European aftermarket division and started the acted as an SME for the US / head office in this area also. 
Took 70’000+ SKU’s into clearly defined planning groups and led the product team in forecasting/ demand management.
Supported the set up of the re-manufacturing facility in Czech Republic, leading the supply chain planning team there, putting in best practice for MPS planning and capacity management for scheduling their operations, as well as material requirement plans to support this.
Implemented TCO (total cost of ownership) with the material planning team in the UK to ensure we had the right Plan for Every part and the most effective stock holding policy by item.
Worked with key customers to resolve scheduling issues and create win ‘ win scenarios for level loading / peak shaving etc. Partnership working rather than customer / supplier relationships.

European Demand Manager

Caterpillar Inc.

Was responsible for the backhoe and Compact loader lines in Leicester, ensuring worldwide demand was being met and all schedules for material were in place and accurate. Also supported other global sites in advanced analysis of global inventory positions (dealer to factory) where required. 
2 key projects completed which were CAT firsts;
1) a flexible working agreement implemented for the facility to move to annualised hours preventing a constant hire / fire scenario along with always building inventory of finished machines when in a constrained demand position.
2) base order management implemented with key dealers to enable their order to shipment time to be reduced form 14 weeks to 8 weeks max, often 6 weeks with no loss of option choice or additional cost. 
I was a member of the worldwide S&OP process management team contributing to global changes in the corporate process and ways of thinking ‘ working. 
When there was a crisis management situation with certain suppliers I would take charge of it personally managing the supplier, allocating material as required to customer orders and ensuring there was no loss of sales to end dealers based on total inventory position etc. 
led my team in changing how we used SAP to give a seasonalised and customer specific attachment forecast, rather than the SAP default of 12 months total average.

Master Scheduling Supervisor

Optimised the scheduling and material plans for inbound material to BCP division sites, ensuring inventory was right sized and then continuous improvement to reduce as appropriate. Mainly working with engine and driveline suppliers. (Engine to tyres)
Crisis managed distressed suppliers in France, Turkey, India amongst others for prolonged periods when required, to ensure continued build at facilities and put in place corrective and preventative actions to ensure that supply was sustainable. This effectively involved "taking over" at the supplier if required and acting as a second ops manager in their facility covering supply chain and operations. (Even ensuring competitors were serviced as needed to do what was best for the supplier as well as for CAT)
Was the BCP lead for supplier management and capacity planning, implementing global RCCP analysis on suppliers looking at total supplier load, not just CAT trying to ensure no issues were going to arise in suppliers operations.
Supported purchasing teams in supplier moves and cost analysis of low cost sourcing strategies.
Coached material planning teams in supplier management and thinking more widely about supplier scheduling and inventory implications.

Supply Chain Performance Engineer

Operations manager for the stretching and cutting areas of 24/7 aluminium plate facility.  Fully Accountable for a team of 80 in total including shift managers and process engineers.
Changed the culture through coaching and leading the shift managers from a disengaged group to a pro active and process led team.
Implemented proper process training and sign offs for new employees and process. audits were being carried out. 
Responsible for the supply plan in the facility S&OP to ensure the correct capacity was installed to meet planned volumes from customers.

Manufacturing Team Manager

Responsible for setting up a quality team in the organisation, moving from engineers and operators "marking their own homework". 
Recruited a full team accountable for ISO9001, 14001, and internal quality process and procedures to support all areas of the business.
Implemented full independent sign offs during build and final acceptance before leaving the production facility.

Led on the supplier management and quality control for setting up a joint venture with an Indian supplier to produce our products under licence.
Managed the build in China (at multiple sites) of the largest dynamometer assembled, ensuring all item and build specs were being met and the build was being done in a safe manner. Liaising with design engineers if required to ensure any non conformance’s were either acceptable or not.
Led two low cost sourcing exercises in india and Brazil ensuring all acceptance criteria could be met in material spec and dimensional control with APQP / FAIR approaches. 
Led cost down design reviews with engineers to take out full parts ‘ requirements that were not needed against fit for purpose specification.
