Founder/Developer

EB Games Australia

As a member of the Application Development Team at EB Games, it is my responsibility to scope features into user stories with acceptance criteria for multiple systems used by internal staff and customers. I utilise Agile and Scrum methodologies throughout the entire process, from discovery to deployment, while working with a team of developers.

One of my most significant accomplishments at EB Games was the successful implementation of the Uber project, which enabled customers to choose Uber for delivery at checkout for purchased products.

In this role, my main duties include:
- Leading daily stand-ups
- Organising sprint planning sessions
- Presenting sprint reviews
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define scope
- Assessing the effort required for features with developer squads

Product Owner

During my time as ICT Project Leader, my responsibilities were across Digital and AV projects in the Digital Services Directorate. 

Some highlights of my achievements and responsibilities are:
- Led the procurement and coordination of 80 room AV upgrades across 6 CQU campuses, collaborating with AV integrator consultants.
- Assisted with the creation and correspondence of the AV upgrades Request For Quote (RFQ).
- Procurement of technical equipment for the fit out of 2 newly established buildings on the Gladstone and Rockhampton Campuses.
- Led the discovery and delivery of the Student Wayfinder pilot, an interactive digital map of CQU’s Campuses.
- Led the discovery and delivery of the Digital Student ID, decreasing a students wait time for a physical student ID card while providing all the benefits.
- Led the discovery and delivery of scheduling automation, taking the approved timetable and booking out the related rooms for remote teaching.
- Facilitated focus user groups to test ideas, gather feedback and define project direction.
- Established an Agile project approach using Jira/Confluence as standard project management tools across the Digital Services Directorate.
- Engaged with internal stakeholders to define project deliverables.
- Developed roadmaps with key milestones for project delivery.
- Led the UX/UI review team, engaging with multiple teams across the Digital Services Directorate for feedback of UX/UI improvements to their systems

ICT Project Leader

Working in the Customer and Growth team, I maintained and developed custom built internal applications for Academic staff and students. Key systems I worked on were the corporate site built in the Squiz CMS and the internal governance system AIMS. I have since been moved over to the Enterprise Systems team to to development on the MyCQU project, a central student application built on Sitecore, Mulesoft and React JSS.

During my time as a Developer at CQU I have made the following achievements:
- Lead the development for a personalised solution in the student portal MyCQU
- Major driver for including merge requests into the development process
- Involved in the move from Xampp to Docker for local development environments

Study Group

I was in charge of improving internal digital applications and create new student applications and staff dashboards combining data from multiple systems.

My biggest achievement is being involved in the planning and development of the Articulation Abacus app. This application allows students to map their current study completion and get an overview for credited subjects if they were to transfer to an Endeavour College course.

Digital Services Developer

Squiz

In charge of working with high end clients in Government Sectors and Higher Education providers to maintain and develop digital solutions using the Squiz suite of products; Matrix, Funnelback and SugarCRM.

My biggest success at Squiz were: 
- Being involved in the full development process of the TSRA website
- Involved in the development of the Judge for Yourself Application
- Building interactive maps for Griffith in google maps
- Creating a custom calculator tool for Master Builders that could be updated through the Squiz CMS

Ladbrokes Australia

I was involved in working on the Ladbrokes website, mobile app and the bookkeeper backend system. I worked closely with other developers in an Agile development environment.

Backend Developer

Endeavour College of Natural Health

During my time at Endeavour I have undertaken many projects that have pushed me to expand and improve my skill set to accomplish the task within the time frame given. 

For external users I am tasked with making sure all of our sites are responsive across a range of popular mobile devices and creating interactive pieces that can be used on the websites to display information or images.

I undertake many projects creating dashboards for the Staff. The dashboards can display data in an easy to read way from multiple sources while also allowing the Staff to edit, forward or submit information to an external API for processing. 
 
Projects for students allow them to record their career goals and skills giving them an understanding and further advantage them to achieve their dream career. 

Administrator for SharePoint 2013 I am tasked with developing new sub sites and workflows to simplify processes while fixing any issues that may arise.

Web and Digital Services Developer

Modifying back end plugins with Wordpress and creating dynamic sites with ExpressionEngine. I was given the challenge of creating a plugin for a website that display the amount of social media likes/tweets/hash-tags as a graph. Currently working on implementing static mobile site templates into ExpressionEngine.

Internship - Digital Marketing Manager Assistant

During my time as a tradesman at Cameron I was to maintain, service and also commence hydrostatic pressure testing on many variations of valves used in the Oil and Gas industry. I was also positioned at the Karratha workshop which worked closely with the Karratha Gas Plant. Many of the jobs and tasks were commenced for Woodside and many of the safety regulations applied to Woodside facilities were also practiced at the Cameron workshop.

As an Apprentice at Cameron I underwent many tasks to develop my skills with the maintenance process of valves.

As an Apprentice at Minara Resources many of my skills were developed in the within the refinery area of the Murrin Murrin plant. In this area I worked on centrifugal pumps, piston pumps, autoclaves, furnaces that were involved in the final part of the plants process in producing the nickel briquettes.
