I lead the Del Mar College Foundation board and staff, focusing on building philanthropic support and meaningful engagement among donors, alumni and supporters of the College.

☛ Impact:
► DMC Foundation consistently helps more people with scholarships than any other organization in the Coastal Bend area.
► $3.13 million awarded in scholarships for 24-25 academic year to 1,421 students = historic high
► $2.28 million awarded in scholarships for 23-24 academic year to 1,157 students = 2nd record high
► $136,000 awarded to 516 students via emergency aid program for 24-25 academic year
► Facilitated significant and critical support for new education facility and innovative programs.

☛ Leadership:
► Privilege of leading the DMC Foundation, staff and serving on the college president's Cabinet/Executive Team.
► Elevated the student and donor experiences

☛ Philanthropic Investment:
► Record institutional giving during two years of my tenure. Over $6.3 million in FY25 and $4.8 million in FY20.
► Elevated and sustained annual giving with $3.6 million as five-year average during my tenure and $2.5 million as five-year average during immediate timeframe before my joining the team.

Vice President of Development and Donor Advising (Executive Director of DMC Foundation)

► Direct & manage comprehensive development, outreach and stewardship efforts to increase private investment for the College's and Foundation's strategic initiatives.
► Member of the College's executive leadership team.
► Served on the strategic planning committee (2024-2029) and co-led the communications subcommittee.
           - 28 focus groups (faculty, staff, students, community)
           - Over 1,200 survey results (highest response rate for any DMC survey yet)

Associate Vice President of Development

☛ Del Mar College is the greatest positive change agent in the Corpus Christi/Coastal Bend area in how we impact every aspect of the community from families to economy.

☛ Leadership:
► Privilege of leading all-things-fundraising and communications and the team involved.
► Priority focus is current $25 million campaign, the largest yet for the Foundation.
► Designed and implemented a departmental professional development academy.
► Designed & executed a talent management plan: sourcing, recruiting, hiring, retaining, growing and promoting.

☛ Fundraising:
►Consistently exceeded the five-year fundraising average, each year elevating the average. FY22 $3.2 million raised against the $3.1 million five-year average.
► First two years were double-digit, record-setting fundraising growth with FY18 being the 2nd highest fundraising year with $3.8 million which was a 96% increase from year prior and FY19 being a record with $4.9 million in total contributions and grants, a 29% increase from year prior.
► Conducted a Cost-Benefit Analysis & redesigned all special events to achieve higher ROI
► Designed & implemented a fundraising strategic plan that included an all-staff refocusing effort to define unit & individual priorities, develop annual plans, create donor portfolios, set goals and accountability practices (using leading indicators to measure and manage) to achieve a higher level of sustained excellence. This was preceded by an in-depth study of Foundation data.

☛ Programs, Operations & Technology:
► Demonstrated effectiveness of scholarships & emergency aid programs via partnership with Institutional Research.
► Led restructuring of Raiser's Edge NXT data infrastructure.
► Designed & executed reorganization of division’s digital storage management.
► Increased efficiency and effectiveness of division by removing unnecessary duplicative processes.

Elected by my state-wide peers in community college fundraising and privileged to be a leading part in moving our state organization through a re-invention process where we have seen remarkable success:

☛ Fundraising & Membership Recruitment:
► 68% increase in membership from 28 organizations (2016) to 47 (2018)
► 75% increase in annual conference registrations from 44 (2016) to 76 (2018)
► Tripled the organizational state database from 68 (2016) to 240 (2018)
► Tripled revenue from $15,600 (2016) to $48,425 (2018) while keeping member costs flat

☛ Strategy & Partnerships:
► Partnered with CFRE International, becoming the first state association to join the ranks of other    
highly recognized, international organizations such as AFP and The Giving Institute.
► Solidified sustainable organizational growth through strategic visioning, planning and budgets
► Increased voluntary leadership through the board of directors and use of focused task forces
► Designed and launched a new website
► Revised and amended bylaws and articles of formation, with significant changes
► Managed a continued organizational reinvention process

President & CEO

College of the Mainland

☛ Leadership:
► Developed annual fundraising plan with focus on cultivating major gifts & planned giving
► Selected & oversaw implementation of a new donor database
► Key role in creating a new internal accounting system & manage financial processes
► Supervised, helped create and hired a new advancement services position
► Co-led 1st phase efforts to re-brand and invigorate a new Foundation board and advancement team after years of dormancy and absence of staff or leadership
► Co-led 2nd phase efforts to reorganize the foundation board & staff toward a higher level of fundraising success via strategic and transition planning

☛ Fundraising:
► Permanent Endowments increased by $764,883 from August 2014 to August 2017
► Significant annual increases to the total contributions and grants each fiscal year. ($222,481 in 2014 to $556,542 in 2017)
► Led three employee giving campaigns, the first being the initial one in at least 8 years. Second year 31% increase in funds raised over year prior and 9% increase in employees giving. Third year 40% increase in funds raised over year prior. Cumulative employee gifts/pledges nearly $100,000 in three years, not including scholarship commitments
► Three months after initial hire, raised over $102,000 through the first gala in several years. Obtained 43 sponsors with 247 attendees
► Key role in leading three fundraising gala’s, each with increasing success in net profit and number of attendees

☛ Programs & Operations:
► 273% increase in the total amount of scholarships awarded from $90,650 in 2014 to $247,125 in 2017
► 340% increase in the number of scholarship recipients from 88 in 2014 to 299 in 2017
► Created and implemented an emergency assistance program for students
► Created and implemented a disaster relief program for both students and employees with nearly $80,000 awarded expeditiously after Hurricane Harvey
► Created, implemented and managed an innovations mini-grant program for faculty/staff; $47,000 awarded (13)

Advancement Officer

Hill College

► Established and built relationships with alumni, community and donors
► Created my position in the newest campus department
► Built a new alumni & friends association, partnering with current groups and establishing new traditions
► Led 90th anniversary celebration of college with successful affinity group reunions
► Organized new student-donor appreciation events and helped coordinate annual fundraising gala
► Nearly doubled the number of records in eTapestry and established consistent donor database processes for office

I work hand-in-hand with an awesome foundation team in building genuine relationships with individuals, corporations and organizations who desire to invest in changing people's lives. My work includes helping donors find the best way for them to accomplish their philanthropic goals while furthering the strategic priorities of the Del Mar College and DMC Foundation.

☛ Nothing surpasses witnessing amazing students overcome very real, very tough impossibilities to achieve success ... and the joy that donors experience when giving and then seeing the impact they make.

I am a sixth-generation Texan and proud graduate of both Temple College and Baylor University. Things I love include spending time with my family and friends; the great outdoors; music; dancing and genealogy research.

In 2017 I earned my Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and was elected by my statewide peers as the President/CEO of the Texas Association of Community College Foundations (TACCF).
