What's it like to pivot a fintech startup? 

I joined one month after the prior team's v1.0 product release under the "Trading.TV" brand and Broker Dealer business model (think Robinhood).  That product was unfortunately launched with crippling UX issues and perhaps more importantly, into a free-falling stock market.  In the following months, I helped lead the team through: 

- Conducted 16 surveys, reaching 3,500+ individuals. 
- Conducted 75+ live and remote customer interviews. 
- Reviewed 150 consumer-focused fintech businesses. 
- Developed a thesis on target customer with unmet need.
- Developed user stories, logic flows, and wires for a new product and business model. 
- Worked with head of Legal to pivot business to a Digital Registered Investment Advisor. 
- Contracted the talented Herman Scheer agency to rebrand the company. 
- Helped hire new leadership team: Engineering, Research, and Content. 
- Validate desirability and viability via clickable prototypes, and set roadmap for alpha, beta, and MVP.   

After the legal adoption of new brand and business model by the company's board, and after some fun soul searching, the decision became clear that what's best for me lay ahead in another company, not at Altas.   I'm deeply thankful for the opportunity, and wish this exciting team (and friends) all the luck!

Deep dive into the intersection of productivity and social impact.  Ran customer interviews, competitive landscaping, UX and UI design, prototyping, financial forecasting, and ultimately decided with the team to wind down the effort.  Here was how we shared the concept at a high level: 

Nine out of 10 Gen Z believe they have the ability to change the world.  But where is the platform the empowers them to do so?  There isn't one, which is why I've recently joined a small team to explore this space.

Joined the co-founders to level up product development, resulting in a business model pivot, first revenues, secured new funding, all in less than a year :)

The Futureloop Platform (now called Daily) is bold new way for brands and entrepreneurs to activate conversations with their customers.   With state of the art machine learning technology, Futureloop helps marketing and leadership teams to effortlessly curate and distribute thought provoking content aligned with unique brand values and vision for the future.

Feedback Loop, by DISQO 

One of two Strategic Partnerships leads, I led Feedback Loop’s engagement with global management, technology and advertising firms: McKinsey, Accenture, BCG Digital Ventures, PwC, WPP agencies, IPG agencies, Publicis and more. 

Feedback Loop is (was) the fastest and most scalable technology partner for uncovering meaningful insights and driving bold decisions in new marketing campaigns, product launches, and wholly new businesses.

Personally, this was a rewarding experience to take on the full sales process from prospecting, relationship building, custom demos, negotiating and securing six figure contracts.  

Got three deals inked in two days over the holiday break.  That was fun :)

Partnered with STRV leadership to build a new Product Management group.  The new team provides strategic services for our clients, as well as collaborates internally to optimize processes and systems.  STRV Product and Project Managers help lead STRV's competitive advancements in the market by employing best practices in Market Research, Prototyping, User Testing, Product Documentation, Comprehensive Project Management, Beta Testing, App Store Optimization, and ongoing Analytics.  

In this role, I also provided support and guidance internally at STRV, working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Design, Engineering, and Finance to ensure excellent results for our customers.

I led projects across a wide array of business units within ESPN as well top technology and media partners to prioritize, design, build, and launch strategic digital products - with a key focus on over the top (OTT) platforms.
