Started in 2008, sold in 2016 and exited the business in 2018 following an earn out.

The story:

I Co-Founded a digital and data marketing agency a few months before the 2008 financial crisis in an attic on Wimpole Street in London. 

Our first client was a local pest control company and by the end we were working with iconic brands such as;

Marks and Spencer, Ralph Lauren, Melia hotels, Hertz, Gym Shark, JP Morgan, Alibaba, White & Case, Uniqlo, Vivienne Westwood, Jamie Oliver, Selfridges, VW, BDO, Nissan, Argos, L'Oréal, and Benefit Cosmetics.

We made loads of mistakes and the learning curve for a couple of founders in their 20s was huge.

We started with no money and with a fair wind and a lot of luck we managed to scale and sell the business. The key to our success was hiring some amazingly talented human beings who helped us grow and expand year on year.

Thank you to everyone who ever supported us, it really did make a difference.

Following University I worked in various research, tech, data & marketing entry level roles gaining experience from some very talented people who I will forever be grateful to.

Starting in Colchester and then working across London.

I got to experience diverse working cultures from a educational tech startup, to a business acquired by The Guardian Media Group to a subsidiary of M&C Saatchi.

Started work life early working on a farm as an 8 year old doing all the little jobs like feeding the animals. I went on to have some great jobs in my teenage years like dish washing in a local pub that I learnt so much from.
