The AI Collective is the world's largest AI community, made up of 70,000+ founders, researchers, operators, and investors across 25+ chapters, built around a shared curiosity for AI. I consider myself a proud OG, one of the original founding members who joined when we were just a bunch of nerds nerding out in SF living rooms about AI.

Officially, I was the Head of Community, where I shepherded the growth of our community from 2,000 members -> 70,000+, led our first chapter expansions and wrote the playbook, closed $xx,xxx in revenue through partnerships, defined our community values, and hosted awesome events.

Cofactory

AI Grant Batch 2, birthed at Stanford. Cofactory = “company factory.” Our vision was to kickstart the "Industrial Revolution for MicroSaas" - systematizing the ideation, buildout, and distribution of small, long-tail software products using AI. MicroSaas printer. Temu for small software plays. 

Our strategy was first to build out a "PMF engine" - input idea, output quant + qual PMF analysis - while waiting for AI to drive down costs of software development. We built AI agents to automate different discovery / validation techniques, given my experience as a discovery-focused PM / venture builder / founder.

Our main focus was to generate quantitative data by automating landing page tests + ad runs, then mining out the signal. Thinking was "Ads + GenAI = signal." 

So we built a machine that would generate ideas, then evaluate them by building landing pages and running ads and using performance benchmarks / conversion data to ID the winners. 

Generated a lot of ideas. Spent a lot on ads. Found really wild winners. The data was fascinating.

Ended up pivoting to "autonomous E2E customer acquisition" for SMBs - enter business details, automagically build landing page and stand up Google Ad campaign, get customers & demand intelligence while you sleep.

Impulsum Venture Colab

Was interested in the Venture Studio model (love building + empowering founders), so got an internship at Impulsum (hybrid venture studio + firm) that converted into first scout role. 

Supported the MD in pricing + GTM strategy for an internal venture, helped prep fundraising materials, and learned how VCs evaluate deals.

Got good at market research, positioning, empowering founders, and balancing relentless optimism with pragmatic skepticism. Met really cool founders. Connected people. Executed.

Knowbl

Knowbl builds Conversational AI solutions for Enterprises, with multiple customers in the F100. 

Was first product hire and reported to CPO as a Swiss Army knife. I drove our GTM motions (product marketing, sales strategy & enablement) + product roadmap for our core platform.

I also supported pipeline and delivery as a Solutions Consultant, working with F100 customers to understand their needs and design tactical implementations.

Had a ton of fun working with brilliant full-stack and AI engineers, leveraging LLMs in thoughtful ways to supercharge workflows. Focus was on unlocking scale & self-servability through great platform UX.

Finally, I built and maintained a centralized "prompt bank" to reduce the cost of manual research by orders of magnitude for the Sales, Product, and Marketing orgs.

Product & GTM Lead

Upgrade, Inc.

Upgrade is a fintech unicorn (credit-led neobank, ~$7b val) that I joined during hypergrowth.

Got good at moving fast, rallying troops behind vision, creating structure out of ambiguity, and tactical product execution. Led user research initiatives, owned product roadmap for Verifications and Fraud, and built MarTech stack to support B2C growth and partnership models.

Had to learn things quickly and get comfortable playing "dumbest guy in the room" role. Learned how to identify and ask the important questions, and beeline towards testing the "things that had to be true for this to make sense." 

Shipped conversion optimizations, backend automations, and cost-efficiency plays. Became strong in UX and analytics-driven product tactics. Was wrong about a lot of things - but my hit rate increased as my intuition improved.

Became known as the connective tissue between Product and Ops orgs. This ended up being one of the best user research pipelines the Product org had.

Product Manager

Tree Desk

Tree Desk is a patent-pending passion project of mine. It's a portable desk that straps to a tree, pole, or post, to empower people to work from anywhere. I built this because I like to do my creative work outside, and wanted to have a desk. 

Spent a lot of time in Home Depot, obsessed over details, and learned a lot about marketing and manufacturing. Dove deep into the Van Life, Digital Nomadism, and Kickstarter communities.

Inventor

nomofomo

I founded nomofomo because it's hard to find cool things to do, since information is scattered across the internet and non-personalized. Decided to build a company to fix that. 

With a team of co-founders, an angel investor, and some badass advisors, we set out to build "Tinder for Experiences," on a mission to help people experience more life. 

I learned to sell and fundraise, ship 0-1 product, and build teams. In the process, built an awesome content bank of cool things to do.

Favorite learning: the perceived value of an experience goes UP over time, whereas the opposite is true for a material purchase. Experiences, and the associated memories, are appreciating assets.

Once the ride was over, I decided that I wanted to level up my product execution skills, so I went to the best product shop with A+ rockstars I could find. See "Upgrade" section.

Aura

Aura was a Series D fintech company that provided credit-building loans to underbanked communities.

I started as a business analyst, and got good at SQL and uncovering bottlenecks. Learned how to decompose ambiguous problems into a logical structure/set of hypotheses that could be methodically tested. Got good at increasing conviction behind a decision through mixed research (qual and quant) methods. Became known as a "numbers storyteller"/"data whisperer," was the go-to guy for translating raw data into business narratives. 

I transitioned into Product after realizing I loved moving numbers more than just analyzing them. Favorite projects were UX-focused and required a high degree of empathy, because we were working with a customer demographic that was very different than that of the employee-base. 

I got to work on internal tools and B2C self-service products, and learned how to leverage UX research and tactics to drive business KPIs.

Associate Product Manager

I build thoughtful products and vibrant communities. My style is execution-oriented, fast-paced, innovative, dynamic, collaborative, and human-centered. 

I like connecting people and ideas, and moving fluidly between strategy and execution. 

Happiest when building cool things w smart, authentic people. Infusing energy and enthusiasm into every team I'm lucky enough to be on.

I'm a product leader who believes that AI is just another tool. It's a revolutionary one - however, business value and impact is still the only thing that "really" matters.

My superpower(s)? Being the firestarter for big-picture initiatives, getting the team buzzing around a shared vision, then being the fuel in the engine that drives us towards the promised land.
