Achievements:
•	‘Marketing Transformation’ – moving from managing events and awards entries to a strategic marketing function with a focus on ‘Impact, Intelligence and Innovation’
•	Global strategy development and delivery for the Group and its constituent Business Units
•	Brand development and refresh – moving the brand into the 21st century with a fresh new look and brand new website
•	Reputation management – working closely with the ExCo to manage reputational risk to the business

Achievements:
•	Leadership of all Directors and senior managers (Business Directors, Planning and Senior Creative) including performance measurement setting and assessment
•	Management/ development of all key client relationships – increasing revenue and securing a
two-year retainer with IKEA, established a deeper more trusting relationships with existing British Gas and O2 clients and stabilised other historically challenging relationships across the business
•	Day-to-day responsibility for the management of finance and senior management to deliver
revenue, including the launch of new ways of working/ reporting on revenue and profitability.
•	New business strategy development and implementation, conversion of new business
opportunities (a success rate of 44% in 2015 vs an industry average of 25%)

Working with the Group leadership team, my role was to develop and deliver a series of commercial propositions to enable coherent and effective marketing of the MSQ Partners Group (and its constituent agencies) to its target audience of UK mid-size businesses.  

These included (but were not limited to) developing a new approach to multi-channel marketing communications for brands; targeting businesses on their journey towards stock market flotation; developing approaches and solutions for corporate brands in need of coherent, efficient and effective marcomms support.

Wax was an award-winning activation agency specialising in promotional, experiential and shopper marketing. Our mission was to increase the value of our clients' brands through best in class strategy and creative.

Responsibilities - As the MD I had overall responsibility for the 30 strong agency, its clients, staff and finances.
 
Achievements: 
•	During my tenure, we developed the Wax brand and re-established the agency in the marketplace as an expert in promotional, experiential and shopper marketing.
•	I was responsible for the management of key client relationships, new business development
and delivery, agency P&L and financial reporting/ liaison with MSQ Partners (agency owners).
•	With a staff of 25, we have grown our revenue with key clients like United Biscuits (+200%
since 2010) and Premier Foods (+100% in 2012) and won significant new business from other
brands such as Brown-Forman, Dixons Retail, Nestle and Canon.
•	In 2012, our pitch conversion rate was 54%, (the highest in the Group) delivering an 8% profit
(above average for the sector in the years of economic recession).

Fast Forward is NABS flagship training programme giving the industry's hottest young talent the chance to learn directly from advertising's most respected figures. 

I have been mentoring on the course for 7 years. Working with the brightest young people in our industry and helping to guide them to form a team from nothing to becoming an effective pitching agency in 8 weeks is hugely inspiring for me (and, I hope, them). Guiding my teams to back-to-back victories in 2011 and 2012 is a source of great pride for me.

Mentor - 'Fast Forward'

Led the New Business and agency marketing team winning business from Coca-Cola, HBOS, iShares and Guinness among others.

Responsibilities:
•	Responsible for the nurturing, development and management of all UK new business opportunities for Arc
•	Development and execution of the new business strategy
•	Management of the agency’s marketing budget and resources
•	Liaison with all key stakeholders (agency management, external brokers and prospects/ clients).

Achievements - In my time as New Business Director, Arc won £24m worth of new business from some of the UK’s most recognised brands including HBoS, Guinness, Coca-Cola, Scottish Widows and SABMiller.

Marketing Director

For 3 years my focus was on Procter & Gamble and their UK fabric and homecare business taking in such brands as Ariel, Lenor, Bold, Daz, Flash and Fairy. There's very little that I don't know about laundry detergents. In that time I helped develop and run some fo P&G'smost successful integrated campaigns particularly on Ariel where our work helped elevate the brand to the No.1 position in the market place for the first time in 10 years.

I also ran the MasterCard, Heineken, Trek Bikes and Rugby Football Union accounts.
