I love meeting founders who share my curiosity for tech & innovation. My passion for entrepreneurship began with my first business at age 11. I spent my teenage years learning HTML and building websites. In my 20s, I worked as a sales and marketing exec at Nestle & Coca-Cola, consistently ranking Top-3 with weekly B2B sales of $3M-$5M. This experience led me to co-found, scale & exit a CPG startup. Moving to Calgary in 2013, I worked at a large media agency, winning numerous sales awards and growing my global client portfolio to $1M+ ARR in 18 months. I also sold dozens of sponsorships for digital & physical events, including the annual Top 40 Under 40. In 2016, I began management consulting, helping startups with marketing, product development, recruitment & fundraising. At one startup as interim CMO, I helped grow MAUs from 100k to 600k in 12 months. At another, I helped hire & develop a sales team, achieving a $4M run rate. As a lifelong learner, I earned my MBA in Organizational Leadership from Jack Welch and a certificate in venture capital & private equity from Harvard Business School. In 2023, I was one of only 63 to successfully graduate from the VC Lab accelerator program (among 3,000 who applied & 250 who were accepted). In athletics, I've worked at the professional & national championship levels (hockey). In 2020, I founded Allied Venture Partners (allied.vc) after angel investing since 2012. Allied has grown to more than 1,700 investors globally, and we've deployed $5M+ into early-stage startups. As a passion project, I co-founded Calgary Beer Week in 2016. We raised over $500k for charity, hosted 30,000+ attendees at various events, and built the largest craft beer consumer membership program in Western Canada. A trained speaker, I've represented our brand with local and national media, including CTV News, GlobalTV, CBC & Sportsnet.
