A General Mangement role, responsible for revenue generation and customer proposition of the Betfair Sports business in the UK & Ireland. Betfair is one of the leading brands in both the UK and Irish sports betting markets, with annual revenue well into nine figures.

Additionally, member of the Betfair Leadership Team, which was responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Betfair brand globally.

Assumed responsibility for understanding commercial performance, creating a plan in order to exceed targets and executing against this plan to drive maximum revenue for the Betfair business in the UK and Ireland.

Head of Planning & Performance, Betfair UK & Ireland

Betfair

Responsible for the planning and execution of commercial operations in the UK. Specifically, this role encompassed: building the customer proposition for key sporting events; carrying out operational projects and reviews; working with the Strategy team to deliver strategic reviews and implementing related operational outputs; and aligning multiple business functions so as to achieve the company's performance goals..

Additionally, providing support to the UK Commercial Director in presenting plans and actions to the Executive Committee and the wider business.

Responsible for revenue forecasting, budgeting, financial control and business case analysis.

Commercial Finance Manager 

Audit Senior in the Asset Management department within the Assurance division. Qualified here as a Chartered Accountant (ACA).

Senior Associate

Stuff I do: Co-founder at Flexa; Board Trustee at Support Dogs; some very ad hoc consulting for businesses who have interesting and challenging hurdles in front of them.

Stuff I did: worked for a long time at Betfair, then Flutter; ran a big P&L and learned a lot.

Stuff I did a long time ago: trained as an accountant; went to business school; tried to be a vet (that didn't work out).
