From hard-hitting poetry to hard-hitting news stories, words have always been my currency. More formally, I have 7+ years of experience working with non-profits in promotions, media outreach, communications, and campaign coordination capacities. I also have 8+ years of experience as a full-time freelance copywriter & editor for non-profit and corporate clients alike. My background is heavy on the social justice advocacy, reproductive, sexual, and gender justice, anti-racist work, climate justice, and meaningful collaborations with Indigenous communities. Plus, I have a shiny little master's degree in creative writing. For many years I put my writing, social media, and people skills to use getting hundreds, and sometimes thousands of people out to lectures, workshops, marches, panel discussions, and volunteer meetings. I know how to reach people, and I enjoy harnessing my profoundly lived and learned communications skills to assist organizations in their quest for truly impactful messaging. I'm a stickler for detail, a perfectionist, a punctual, obsessive snob of a writer. All qualities that my clients are happy about. I'm also wildly creative, but can be reined in. I love a good story.
